Virtual Community Quilt – Fourward Together!

Do you like to sew, quilt and create? Join the Fun!

All youth and adult quilters, sewists and fiber artists are invited to contribute to this year’s virtual community quilt, hosted by 4-H and The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show.

This year’s theme is “Hopes for 2022.”

As we all know, 2020 and 2021 presented some significant challenges and opportunities for growth. At times we struggled, and at times we surprised ourselves with our ability to adapt. What do you hope 2022 will bring? It can be what you wish for yourself or your family, local community, or country or even our world. No hope is too big or small.

Upload an image (no larger than 2 MB) of a 6-1/2-inch fiber art square or quilt block that represents your hopes for 2022, along with a few sentences telling us about your square or block.

Note: Fiber art squares or quilt blocks must be 6-1/2-inches square, and may be stitched, pieced, appliquéd, painted, beaded, mixed or other. Entries are due by Sept. 1.

The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show and 4-H virtual community quilt will be shared as part of the virtual experience, Sept. 9-11. Scroll through the entries to learn about our quilt community’s hopes for 2022!

Quilt to Give – From Home

August 23-27

Let’s use our skills to help others! Join us on social media to create bed-sized quilts to benefit Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) and Enchanted Makeovers.

COVID-19 restrictions have triggered common factors associated with domestic violence. As a result, there has been a surge in domestic violence and abuse nationwide. With these sobering facts in mind, we want to give back to those in need.

We will share daily project steps and guidance from Nancy Zieman Productions via our Facebook page and invite you to share photos of you working on your quilts. Once finished, mail your quilts or quilt tops to Nancy Zieman Productions for distribution to charity.
