Artist Statement:

Inspired by antique Victorian tiles, I made this in honor of my quilt mentor, who just passed away. Machine appliqué was her quilting style. I cut up a fancy dress to get the exact rust color I needed. The biggest challenge was the double point edge with a dual facing.
