Artist Statement:
I started "Sicilian Summer," designing it on EQ7, just as we were quarantined with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I thought I would have lots of free time to get it done quickly, but with the longarm quilting and painting embellishments added in, it took me until September of 2021.
