Artist Statement:
The cityscape was inspired by a 1927 movie poster by Russian-born artist Boris Bilinsky commissioned for Fritz Lang's Metropolis. The sky was created using the Bargello technique, which I felt had a similar feel as the Art Deco style. The sun is inspired by interior wall decorations of that era.
