Community Service Project
Daily 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Atrium during The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show
Let’s use our skills to help others! Share your love of quilting by joining our community service project, Quilt to Give. Throughout the three-day event, Nancy Zieman Productions leads Quilt to Give on-site.
You can help create a warm welcome for refugee children being resettled in Wisconsin. Your quilt will be included in a welcome package for our new neighbors alongside PBS KIDS educational materials and distributed to families in their new communities throughout the year by PBS Wisconsin Education.
Here’s how to participate:
• Plan a 1/2-hour or more to sit, sew and give.
• Donate fabric in bright colors: 1/4 yd. or more.
• Donate a finished, new bed-size quilt.
On-site participants do not need quilting experience to donate their time. Giving 30 minutes to cut and iron fabric can make a huge difference. Volunteers are stationed at the Quilt to Give area each day of The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show to guide participants through the process.
Nancy Zieman Productions also accept quilt donations all year! Colorful colors are encouraged, but all quilts in good condition are accepted. Please mail them to:
