Artist Statement:
I have a Koi pond that I use as inspiration for many of my art quilts. I painted the Koi fish and lilies with gold metallic paints. Each Koi fish is free motion quilted trapunto style. After the top was assembled, I walking-foot quilted with metallic thread. The lilies and two edges of the finished quilt are embellished with gold beads.
