Racism: In the Face of Hate We Resist

Artist Statement:

A young African American woman, active in the fight against racial injustice and police brutality, is the central figure. She is surrounded by red rectangles that symbolize the blood that has been shed, circles that equate to the continuous struggles of my people, rectangles that represent houses and churches of the community, and a hopeful sun.
