Artist Statement:

This quilt features my own ice-dyed mandala pieces framed with hand-dyed fabrics from Cherrywood. Background and border fabrics are commercial cottons. This quilt went through many names, until my friend said they looked like nebulas. After some research I found a photo of Andromeda, which was spectacular and had the same purple and browns.
