Artist Statement:
The Kellon brothers arrived in Washington, DC, dawn’s early purple light on October 16, 1995. They joined the already huge group of Black men marching to the cadence of a self-appointed leader. Their strong and robust voices and footfalls echoed in the once quiet streets. They marched for all those who could not come, and they marched as a brotherhood of men who knew and lived in American racism.
