Racism: In the Face of Hate We Resist

Artist Statement:

The Black Lives Matter movement was sparked by the many Black women and men who have faced injustices and have died at the hands of white officers. Their deaths are not in vain, and have helped to open the lines of communication with hopes of reforming police departments and providing equal justice for all. My quilt depicts only a small representation of the many women and men of color who have been slain by the hands of these white police officers.
