Artist Statement:
I am fascinated by Art Deco patterns and motifs. The fan shape can still be found in contemporary motifs. The cloche hat is an homage to the fashion of the '20s. This quilt has four fan variations. The fabrics are hand dyed wool, cottons, and silver and gold metallics. The embellishments are vintage buttons and grosgrain ribbon.
