Artist Statement:
What would an advertisement for the family car of my childhood, a 1978 Volkswagen Rabbit, look like through an Art Deco lens? The leaping rabbit hood ornament is inspired by Ford Lincoln’s greyhound hood ornament, and the stylized tulips in the border call back to my hometown of Holland, Michigan.
