Artist Statement:
This quilt was based on my own photographs of water lilies at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington, D.C. I began the quilt in a workshop with Sandra Mollon at Woodland Ridge Retreat Center in Wisconsin. It is embellished with oil pastels, fabric markers, Derwent Inktense pencils and Tsukineko ink.
