Artist Statement:
This paper-pieced quilt started with a design challenge on "balance" by Curated Quilts. The Curated Quilts mini showed the teeter-totter balanced. I realized that some times things just don't work out like they are supposed to and everything just goes flying. So as my grandmother would say, "Oh Thud!"
