Artist Statement:

This quilt was inspired by a Pinterest photo "On the Wings of a Dream" by Ana Buzzalino. I created the paper pieces New York beauty blocks from a Karen K. Stone Book, modifying the size. The offset pieces and curved borders were challenging. This quilt definitely took me outside my comfort zone. I finished my quilt with Paper piecing, offset piecing, curved borders and hand appliqué. This was definitely an accomplishment for me.
