This paper pieced and machine appliquéd feather extravaganza started with the question, “Why can’t you have feathers on a Mariner’s Compass?” The quilt combines two of my favorite traditional blocks. Marilyn topped it off with three months of feather immersion as she quilted her own free-motion original designs.
