Artist Statement:
This quilt was inspired by a black tray with gold-shape outlines. These batik fabrics were selected because of their color and modern shapes. I incorporated Art Deco lines and patterns through the change of fabrics and the contrast of black. Simple Art Deco patterns are quilted in the shapes.
