Artist Statement:

Say Her Name “is a social movement to raise awareness for black women who are victims of police brutality and anti-Black violence.”

It is my hope that saying their names will keep the memory of these women in the forefront and lead to real reform. In our oral tradition, a way to keep the memories of our ancestors and loved ones alive is to say their names. I hope we are challenged to say her name and “stay woke.”
