Artist Statement:

Using my original photo from the Queen’s Hamlet at Versailles, I spent two months meticulously cutting pieces of fabric to create this art quilt employing raw edge fused appliqué and hand-guided, free-motion quilting. French knot flowers and needle turn appliqué for the trellis add dimension. The quilt took 105 hours to complete, and it was finished in October 2023.
