Artist Statement:
Trees don't get as much attention as other species yet many are threatened or endangered. This quilt features the leaves of those trees from my region. Inspired by vintage botanical illustrations, the quilt has needle-turn appliqué, hand embroidery, and features both hand and machine quilting.
