Artist Statement:

This quilt was inspired by antique buttons (1850-1880s) in bracelets and watches purchased at Prize Possessions at National Quilt Shows. Placed on a background of burnt cheddar, the grays, golds and yellows mimic the colors found in many of the buttons. More than 50 different fabrics and scale changes within quilting add interest.
