The Creator’s Cottage is a maker space serving the educational and career development needs of artists. Members benefit from our active calendar of events, fully equipped fiber arts studio, writer’s cafe, dedicated classroom space, and overnight retreat accommodations for visiting writers, artist and fiber enthusiast . Our mission is to transform the lives of women, children and families of color through the creative arts.

Great Lakes Region, Embroiderers’ Guild of America

Inspiring passion for needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage. EGA seeks to promote cooperation and the exchange of ideas among those who are engaged in needlework throughout the world by encouraging a high standard of design and technique in embroidery. EGA provides a center to be used as a bureau of education and information regarding the art of embroidery for all guild members.



It is our purpose to conduct instruction and research in needle art and to distribute related materials and publications to members and to the public. The Great Lakes Region is one of twelve across the US. See more at https://egausa.org.

Reedsburg Area Quilt Guild

We are a non-profit group of Quilters for the Reedsburg area, near and far. We are a serious and fun group wanting to further the art of quilting for the next generation. We meet two times a month to make donation quilts for our community and/or a personal quilt.

Madison Area Sewing Guild

We are a group of people who love to sew–quilts, garments, bags, accessories. We meet monthly and have a neighborhood group for those interested in garment sewing.

Project Lydia

Project Lydia is a non-profit humanitarian project lifting women in Uganda out of the worst of poverty restoring purpose, hope, and dignity.



Our hand dyed batik handbags are sewn on treadle sewing machines. All jewelry is hand roll from recycled paper and our beautiful baskets are hand woven from banana leaves. Through our sales we have helped to build 3 schools which is now educating 900 of their children.

Project Linus Madison Chapter

We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization that distributed new, handmade blankets to children in need of security in the form of a blanket. Our blankets are distributed through local health care providers, social service agencies, and other organizations that serve children.
